Hold me once more...

Its been a long while, in fact its six months since I last published any article. Over the time, I have really learned a lot. A friend of mine (Allan Thuo) once asked me to always learn more than I teach, he always challenged me to work loads to growing myself spiritually more than I imagine of teaching others how to grow. Here I am out of my cocoon and as always wish to share in a series form what I have been learning over the last half an year. My Best Friend has really been on my case for not sharing lessons of my schooling and here is my write up. ( She is an author to check her blog on Imani Ngeru's Wordpress Link  ).

My hands are free, Hold ME.
I had a chance to see my small sister from Day one on the 14th Day of September 2002, yes she is now 14 years.I really loved how she was welcomed to this world with gifts and a lot of excitement from our Family, The Panuels and beyond it was untold joy, a new child. How mama would hold her in her arms all day, suckling and been given that Tender Loving Care, I used to wonder whether it was the same that had happened to me in my days.

Those are days when mama would be home so early, or even days when her greatest occupation was to take care of our life joy, Charity Panuels. You could hardly get her off Mama's hands, and if you were lucky  to, then it would be after consent from Mama. You had to sanitize your hands prior to holding her. My memory is and was awash by all and till today, when they linger, I still fancy and treasure each of them moments.
She is now all grown, (finishing her Primary school this year). Unlike the days of the Old, She now can do most things on her own, actually, division of roles in the house can never be complete if she hasn't a role on her head. More to it, she is also consulted on some decisions we need to come to as a family.

Well with growth comes such experiences. Its time she learned to crush the bones and to pull the cart as well. Its never about her in the home again, she is now reprimanded just like any other of us, the old days she would get way with it for being a baby but not the same anymore. She has had to go through ups and downs. But one thing about her, there is always how she behaves, of course due to how she feels when near mama and Papa. She still knows that she is the youngest and still deserves preferential treatment both by fact and by reason of us all, The Panuels.

But where am I going with all this? Its definitely not about Charity. I learn from observing and am sure in her head as she will be reading this, she will be like, "Daddy and Mama, Hold Me Once More." Yes, I have grown, Yes I am big but I still wish you hold me once more. I can do all this on myself, I can pray on my own, I can sing on my own, I can worship on my own, But still Hold me one more, show me the coveted Tender Loving care once more.

This is the point am getting in life, I just deserve to be Held once more, I need to feel Him so close all over again. I need to feel the Warmth of His embrace, The Joy of His sufficient grace, The comforting grip of His mighty and Holy hands over my life, once more Is all I wish for. There are times when God feels so far, Those are times praying has been a challenge, those are times when songs  flock my mind, those are the times I need Him to hold me once more. Just like my Sister would feel in the hands of Mama and Papa.

I have come to agree that Unless His grip has me clenched to His fists, Unless His love Surrounds me, Unless His power is Manifest in my life, Then this is the probably the last breathe am on. So Jesus, Just hold me once more, Please Lord, I surrender my Physique, I surrender my intellect, I surrender my Intelligence, Lord unto your hands do I lay today, Yes Lord Hold me once more. I may have grown Yes, I may seem accomplished yes, I may seem as though I can do it on my own, But Lord, Unless you hold me, my boat is capsizing, my tent is caving in and the story of my life is soon reaching an end, so I pray Hold me Lord, Guide my path, am aware that My iniquities have for long separated me from your love, I deserve your wrath not mercy, But I pray still that you hold me in your arms. Lord let your love be the reason I live, your grace be how I live and your mercy the way I live.

Friends of God, This day, I bring to you a Man of the Tribe of Judah, May He hold you as He does to me, free away all those things that may be in His way of getting access to you and holding you closely, Is it sin?. Is it lust? Is it Friends?. Is it money and material, ? You know Better but Let Go and Let God.

Papa, here I am now, HOLD ME ONCE MORE

If I could Tell The World A Story... On Your Graduation....

Gifts handing in Ibis Restaurant Karatina
If I was to tell the world a story,
If I was given an audience of it,
If I was allowed to just share from deep within me,
If I was granted ears and for some years,
Then I would gladly do, and would share a story such as this,....

A picture of a 1000 words
Do you remember when it was dark and you waited for hours to get to morning, do you even remember the long nights of stressful thoughts over and over, do you remember this that and much more than what I can remember, yes I know you do.
It is just the other day, in God's selected days that we ran to each other, just the other day you were in school, just the other day you carried luggage joining first year in undergraduate, but now I change the story, just the other day you completed school...

Years down, your smile encourages hearts..

If I had a chance to tell the story, I would invite the world to give you a loud applause and share with me in congratulating you for the far you have come. Indeed today marks a great step for your life and am glad to be part of this wonderful story that has just begun.
Its not a guarantee that all of us get to campus and are done, and graduate within the first graduation ceremony to be held thereafter, its not any usual to secure a job prior to even graduating, your life is simply unusual. As glory goes back to God, I am so overwhelmed by the way God just chose you among the many to carry up this banner high and make him known.
Too many pictures yet?... no!

To what end, I can confidently assert like David, I have not seen a righteous  man forsaken, true that I can submit that trusting in God can unlock doors that no one can open. If this tears fall, shall a greater joy come out of my mouth,  you came, you say, you dreamt, you endeavored to try, you did your best and now you have conquered. Imani Congratulations.
What the Bible says that we are a lamp on a hill, the salt of the earth, aroma of Christ, is what I believe you have done. The many lives you have touched, impacted and changed for His Kingdom and the many you do keep in touch with is just a show of how much in your heart do you carry. Keep doing it for Jesus and am sure that labour in Him can never be in vain.

This is only the beginning, may God shower you with more blessings, open up your mind to more understanding, may He pour out His spirit upon you giving you the courage to carry on with the Good work, as you excel in Career, remember the mandate we all are on earth to fulfill, Matthew 28:19-20 to go and make disciples.

Its an honour to witness you being accorded your honours degree, being a close friend, prayer partner,  confidante, colleague, sister and best friends. You are treasured Imani. heart you.

Once again Congratulations, there you are take the power to read....

(dedicated to the worlds best friend, Imani Njeri Ngeru, though the words aint enough, You are.. )

In My Element... #ChangeToMyGeneration

In The Office... Law
But who is Gichohi Waweru,....

Currently studying at a Nairobi University (school of Law) is a son of one father and one mother with two siblings. Gichohi Waweru whom others call Kennedy going by the baptismal name is one of the rare gems that indeed this generation ought to have. By the help of God my dream is to turn legal prowess into social empowerment whereby the common person from my village and the outer regions of Kenya Africa and the world will feel at peace and at stake with the ongoing situations in the legal world. In as much as they say that the Law is found in books, I believe that the governed should be in a position to elect positive knowledge of the same and that the law will be part of their normal existence. With a keen interest in Family, Consumer, Labor, Media and Trade Law i believe that by being a force in the legal world in the areas we can change this generation and plant another scope for another incoming generation. Like it happened in biblical times, the law should cease to be written in books and other materials and be written in people's heart; a better living, a transitional environment and established existence can be achieved as a result.

Family Man
Forget my legal background, enter another sphere of my life, which believes in trans-formative, informative ideas as a base for growth. I in my mission onto the universe is to provide an incubation for great ideas possible to change how normal livelihoods grow. Would love  to welcome ideas on a trans-formative agenda that we push it into an opportunity to develop each other. Each idea is God given and should be harnessed into productivity, reluctance- and lack of exposure is a pain to the growth of ourselves. Proverbs 22;29, " 29Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will stand before kings; He will not stand before obscure men."

Because the World has to be at His Feet

Being a born again christian, I am a disciple and am on the mission to make Him known wherever I go whatever I do. I seek to raise the standards of God and how my society relates to Him in this generation and latter generations to come. Here we come to declare Jesus in everything we do. So once again, welcome to my world. Matthew 28;18-20."And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,20teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

I also feel pain and go through any hard situations just like any other human being, but regardless i got a rare quality, God has just had a way of using my past mistakes, troubles, pains and problems and made it my ministry, through open forums and opportunities for people to talk out their past, I has seen the likelihood of changing my generation. There is healing when people share when we open our hearts to others, when we let others share their worsts and laugh at their best offering them an ear is what i wanna be. I wish I do wish and its my prayer that I will live my life be it painfully for the sake of others that my posterity shall enjoy later on. My generation shall be changed in  Jesus name.

Philippians 3;12, "Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus.13Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead,…"
I feel pain just as any man..

Holy Bible (NKJV)  1.3 - Jr 18:3 Then I went down to the potter's house, and there he was, making something at the wheel.
4 And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter; so he made it again into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to make.
5 Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying:
6 "O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter?" says the LORD. "Look, as the clay is in the potter's , so are you in My hand, O house of Israel!

"The Write OFF"
I totally love machines more-so cars and sleek ones. After form four I got to work closely with a car insurer and it was just the best. The work involved assessing damaged wreckage either to declare them as write-offs or compensate partially. This day a Mercedes E-Class, silver in colour, my younger sis would say it was gisty gets an accident and is badly hit that you hardly put a face on it that its a Mercedes. During the assessment however, the mechanics looked at it and they were like, we can put it back altogether to its former spur. The Thomas in me wouldn't believe till.after some months when we got a call only to see it again, talk of excellence. Remind me how damaged it was and I can say it was a big joke.

The same way Jeremiah was taken to the potters house, looking at the clay and wondering what can become of it. Just to wait and see the beauty of the pots.

Today, do you look so messy? Is the clay of your life so scattered? Is the fabric so weak to resemble a pot of whatsoever nature? Is the carnality of your life so tiring?
Well today in spiritual workouts, we learn that, at the potters' hand lies a chance, yes a second one to remake you a new. To put a price and a tag on you.His hands are able to bring back the ruins to grace and glamor, to be beautiful and pleasing, not only to the maker but to everyone who glances a look.

Lets not grow weary:

Growing up as a child from the village, I had such a desire to visit many places in Kenya, Runda had been top of my list. My dad would talk about the homes in the estate, the vehicles people drive and I couldn't wait to be there and see perhaps for a second and feed my desire.
One day, when traveling to upcountry we happened to pass via my fantasy villa, Runda. The houses n the life was more than I could imagine.

However, I couldn't figure out sumn, the roads were so poor by then, for me that didn't augur well. Getting home I thought to myself, the roads to the classy homes are poor, but why?
The same is true for us in life. We go thru bad roads for us to get where we want to be. If we don't loose hope, if we remain focused we shall get to our rundas.

Christ too had such a story, reme how long it took him to ascend to be with the father, what of 40days of prayer and the temptations from Satan? What of the hard cup he took at Golgotha? But He had the courage to face it, believing and knowing sumn great lay ahead.

Today in spiritual workout, we learn to hold on to what Christ has taught and put in us. Even when the darkness seems so mild, beware that He that called us to light will see us accomplish all He has started in us. Hold on to hope or hold on to hope.

I happen to have had a chance to work in a law firm for the better last quarter of 2014. During this period so much happened but I will single out a specific one, Child custody n Divorce. Many clients whom we handle wish to be the legal parents to a child and would go any length to secure the right. Times were where DNA is the resort to determine the same. All is done for a single reason, prove paternity woes. What a miss n mess erupts when one discovers that the child is not theirs after so many things n much has been done to them.
The natural explains the supernatural.

The Bible does command us in Exodus 20 that we shall have no other God than Him. That not withstanding still,we find ourselves mixing the salt n sugar, what a.blend? He is a jealous God n deserves total n solo worship. But we have forgotten the basics. : Money,Education,Spouses n what a few have become our 'gods'. We going lengths to safeguard them in total disregard of God.
Today in Spiritual Workouts, we focus on putting aside all forms of ungodliness and in boldness standing for Christ. Hope it will be the trend 2015 and after

Greatness lies within our reach....oooh Destiny

I grew up with such an urge allure and admiration for the country's most premier jobs and you would help me bet its the state house. I didn't know that it was called politics and when I knew it is, my great admiration dwindled to such a great extent that would make my dream to ever occupy the said job hit their untimely death. However though, I remained (still remain to date) to love the Job description, security, allowances just as any lay Wanjiku n Akinyi from my village would irrespective of what takes you there. I had ever wanted to meet the "guys'' pardon please, their excellencies, honorableness EGH,EBS,CGH (still don't know what they mean though) perhaps shake their hands talk with them chat take photos and most probably exchange contacts. It got worse when in 2011, around March Dad came home with a picture alongside him was the now Deputy President, Hon. William Ruto though he was still a "hustler" by then. I felt my dreams had just arrived and would stare at the photo years later and wonder whether I will ever get the chance to dream a reality maybe once in a lifetime. This year, I attended an event at CITAM Valley road. #INMEMORYOFMYLESMUNROE with three of my colleagues and mind you the DP was in attendance just some chairs ahead of us. I got more excited (don't mind my age), it only hit me then that I had the desire to meet him and also am sure he never wishes to meet me, in any case does he know i exist? When speakers would go to the Dias and tease the DP, the likes of Timothy Kaberia and Njugush Waiguru just to mention, I thought to myself, this is how close I got to reaching my 'DESTINY'? My story ends. I got home thinking of how I had missed such an opportunity to shake his hand and talk, however though, i realized that its just because I didn't have the correct mechanisms, I hadn't planned so well, I didn't consult better with the authorities but my destiny to meet them was within my reach. The same way and the same story can be told of life, where we going becomes our destiny, it forever rings in our mind if we are conscious but however we may still fail to get there not because its not there but we fail to seek and look for the means. to any Christian the Bible should act as  the manual. The thing is there is destiny for us all. We only have to be precise one where to start and where we want to get. know the directions and the correct means to get there. Mine might have been only one chance and it may never come back again. I really feel it so hard but it explains more than what I needed, where I have placed my hopes and my dreams of getting its achievable and its there. I want to get to heaven. its achievable, I want to get bigger in my career in life, my mission to live for another all this is within reach. I just have to allow myself to truly and fully dedicate my mind and everything  I  have that each day i better my chances and i work towards getting there. Off for holidays?.. Time to think and pray hard on our destiny. we gonna make it.
